Out of nowhere, the overseas suppliers ceased shipping to Australia. Just like that, the beautiful yarn that fueled my creativity was completely out of reach. The loss wasn’t just inconvenient; it was a massive wake-up call. I suddenly realised how limited we are in Australia when trying to source high-quality 100% cotton yarn in a diverse colour palette.

Determined to find a workaround, I spent months testing every alternative possible. I ordered from other suppliers, but the quality fell flat and the colour selections were sparse. I tried alternative shipping methods, but the eye-watering international freight costs made it completely unsustainable. Trust me, I tried a multitude of ways to source good yarn without spending a fortune.
